Time is very important in
our lives and plays a very significant role. Our
whole life revolves around time thus It's better to follow and
respect time instead of regretting afterward because
the time gone is never going to come back.
Even though Time itself is defined as infinite, it is very
temporal in our lives, it is divided into three phases in our lives- past,
present and future. Moment to moment it changes tenses, while the moment we
live in is present, Gone-by is past and yet to come is future. Without realising,
it changes from moments to minutes to hours to days to years to decades to centuries.
There are various
theories and philosophies as well on how we should live our lives. The one
which struck the chord in me from beginning and the one that is simple to understand
and follow is based on a Hindi song penned by the great lyricist Shailendra for
the famous Raj Kapoor film Teesri Kassam ( watch: Link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhUBBkXAu9M )
Ladakpan Khel Mein Khoya, Jawaani Neend Bhar Soya,
Budhaapa Dekhkar Roya, Wahi Kissa Purana Hai,
Sajan Re Jhooth maat bolo, Khuda ke paas jana hai
where ladakpan is
past(lost), Jawaani is present(sleeping) and budhapa(roya-afraid) is future, it
is an apt example of how majority of us end up living our lives. In general, we
waste our time pursuing only materialistic pleasures, neither do we learn from
past nor explore our inner huge potential to become strong mentally, physically
and spiritually thus at the critical juncture are afraid and uncertain of our
future.
In principled way, we must always learn from the past, there is nothing we
can do about it except learn from it, but the present is where
things happen, and every person is endowed with abilities to make things happen. We must live each
day like it is our last, because it may be. We can neither relive the past nor
can we live in future as you haven't reached it, for example take the current
scenario of Lockdown, fear and the uncertainty all around.
All savings and investments have gone astray, businesses/employment either
lost or under stress. Lifestyle is no more as it used to be in past and what is
left in our hand is our own mindset, knowledge. skills, spirituality, family,
friends and network to deal with present circumstances.
Right now, we cannot do anything about the circumstances and the
materialistic things lost as above but can be relatively be happy with what is
in our hands i.e. our life, acquired knowledge, skills and spirit. Make the
most of it, use this time to reskill, enhance knowledge, grow spiritually and
use the balances wisely.
This timely and continued process of self-improvement along with our
balances, friends, and networks will assist the ever-evolving better person in us
to not only tide over the current situation positively and happily but will
also amply equip us to tackle any comprehendible future challenges
successfully.
Do not waste this day, thank god you are alive, Get going as you do not
know what future will bring. Live, Learn, Grow- Keep evolving. Future is “BRIGHT”,
make moves “RIGHT”
