Paradigm shift-   “Change” with Demonetization, is it Impossible!

Based on the earlier blog a lot many people raised the very pertinent doubt that change in our way of lives as expected in India “post demonetization” is just not possible and felt that those who think so are living in their glasshouses.

I, for one think that with change of mindset and a strong resolve to evolve with the change for better, is a well calculated gamble rather than not attempting at all. Stay positive and be a part of the process.
Paradigm shift, though is a scientific term is nowadays widely used in social and behavioral sciences, whenever a fundamental change takes place in the approach or the process or a practice which changes the way of life, is considered a Paradigm shift. What we are currently going through is no different.

Change is the only constant in life, There is nothing permanent except change, thus if we need to change things around  for a better future and healthy state, each of us should be  a part of this evolution constructively rather than desist, resist and mar the initiative. Keep changing to evolve else you lose.

To take for instance, the trading in goods and services has undergone changes over the years from Barter, to cowries, to metal coins, to paper currencies to now digital and may be in future virtual transactions, every time the society has accepted and evolved, thus go through the transitionary pangs and you shall get used to it, the systems shall also evolve and over a period it becomes the norm.

Post demonetization i.e. from beginning of 2017 the New Year, what is expected of us as individuals is:
  1.    Try and make your financial transactions transparent by using digital/banking methods.
  2.   Use cash only for small transactions and places where we have no other mode available.
  3.   Be honest and do not be a part or a victim of corrupt system

While we as individuals and as a society fulfill these obligations above, the Govt. must ensure following:
  • The poorest and the backward strata of the society is helped in this transition with humanity.
  • Ensure the message goes across to all, with clear intent and action on ground.
  • Once message is understood, listen, improvise and implement on a top down approach.
  • Be prepared for pitfalls, ensure that guilty are punished while the rest get  “Feel Good Factor”

Still, there shall be some who may try to defeat, disrupt, remain corrupt and create roadblocks for selfish gains and not think of larger and long term gains. But if majority meets the expectations and Govt. is honest  then applying the 80:20 rule, transformation for better tomorrow is not difficult.

Message to all is loud and clear, unable to understand the hallagulla, ruckus, disruptions and negativism.

If the Govt is able to “Make it happen” they shall lead us in future.
Those who change with the change will succeed.
Those who shall change after the change will survive, thus then the rest who do not will be marginalized.

Everything is Possible………….
